For our latest newsletter, I thought it best to take a look behind the proverbial curtain to share some more information about the “inside” workings of Richard Best Custom Homes.
As the temperature cools and the leaves begin to change, construction heats back up this time of year. After pushing through the 100 degree days of summer and seemingly daily rainstorms, everyone has a renewed spring in their step.
Welcome to Springtime! While the warmer weather is always enjoyable, the downside here in the Lowcountry is the coming of a thick layer of yellow pollen across all exterior surfaces. That is why on this update I thought I would deviate a bit from my typical procedural-based emails to instead discuss an important element for the upkeep of your home: pressure washing.
Let me begin by simply thanking everyone who reached out after the first newsletter with kind words and offers of support. It was not my intent to solicit such, but it was very much appreciated and the affirmation simply reinforced these newsletters as a positive approach to make sure that all of you are kept well abreast of the happenings here at Richard Best Custom Homes.
Happy 2015 Everyone!
I have never been a big “New Year’s Resolution” guy, but this year I made an exception. I resolved to do a better job of reaching out to all of our homeowners—past and present—to let them know what exactly is going on with the firm.
Builder Magazine–the foremost publication in the building industry–has awarded the Wilson Row project in Palmetto Bluff’s Wilson Village with one of their 2012 Builder’s Choice Merit Awards for the Best Project in a Resort or Second-Home Community. This a national award and we are incredibly honored to have taken part and helped to create this magnificent piece of Palmetto Bluff.
We are proud to announce that the Clinton Residence–which we constructed as part of the Wilson Row project in the Wilson Village–was recently awarded two “Grand Aurora Awards” at the Southeast Building Conference, the largest building industry trade show in the Southeast. The Aurora Awards are handed out to builders, developers, architects, planners, interior merchandisers, landscape architects and other disciplines actively involved in projects in a 12-state southeastern region who have demonstrated building and design excellence. The Clinton Residence won for “Best Detached Single Family Home ($1m – $1.5m)” and “Best in State (SC)”.
Congratulations to Mr. Clinton on this awarded, as his vision truly steered this project from the beginning and Wayne Windham, the Architect, whose design truly brought it home.
